Dish Network on the Net

May 17th, 2012

It seems like everybody’s talking about Dish Network online these days. You can find articles about this phenomenal Satellite Television service provider in tech journals, industry zines and even blogs. Many of these blog posts are written by ordinary people wanting to get the word out about  Dish Network TV Promotions or someone who has been blown away by this company’s vast array of programming options and cutting-edge technology.

Let’s take the sports fanatic, for example. Dish’s options for the sports lover are second-to-none. Aside from unbeatable coverage of all the major events on a daily basis, Dish Network provides its subscribers with tons of premium channels, including NBA League Pass, NHL on Ice, ESPN HD, as well as ESPN Game Day. ESPN Game Day is one of the most popular channels because it provides the avid sports fan with the most comprehensive coverage of college basketball and football games.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! The fact is, if you look further into Dish Network’s services, you’ll find that this company offers more sports channels than any other service provider, cable or satellite! Not only that, but for the true fanatic, Dish Network offers more sports in HDTV format than anybody else!

Of course, everybody loves a good movie and there again, Dish Network is the talk of the net. Whatever your preference – action, comedy, romance or those hard-to-find independent films – Dish has them all. Some of the premium movie channels available from Dish Network include HBO, Starz, Cinemax and Showtime. Then there are foreign language and independent films. And the list goes on! Dish Network’s  On Demand pay-per-view service is like having a video store inside your TV, but at a significantly cheaper price! Read more »

John Travolta Lawsuit

May 17th, 2012

A man that has brought allegations of sexual misconduct against icon John Travolta may have opened a can of worms he doesn’t know how to shut.

A man, who filed his lawsuit anonymously, has alleged that he was exposed to sexual battery and the intentional infliction of emotional distress. The incident is said to have occurred on January 16, 2012. The lawsuit, should the man win, would grant him $200 million in compensation. Since the incident in question is supposed to have occurred over a four hour period, that is quite a pay day for the masseur.

Marty Singer, Travolta’s lawyer, is well known for dealing with false allegations. He has gone to bat for clients such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Charlie Sheen in the past, when they were sought out for false allegations and the subsequent lawsuits. His client in this case, can be proven innocent, Singer says, because Travolta wasn’t even in Los Angeles at the time of the alleged assault. Due to what Singer has labeled as a false and malicious complaint, he is planning on counter-suing the man that brought the lawsuit, and his lawyer. The lawyer, Singer said, is guilty of malicious persecution. Read more »

Let’s start off with Team Cee Lo’s performer Jamar Rogers.  It has been revealed that Jamar is infected with HIV virus, and his performance this week has reflected his struggle with that as he sung “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi.  With an awesome graffiti background and break dancers, Jamar really plowed through this song, and the fans and judges loved it!  Even Cee Lo took a moment to hear the applause and enthused crowd screaming staying that it was a “triumphant victory of life.” Jamar even ended up crying at the end!

Katrina Parker from Adam’s team sung “jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri.  She nailed her part with a near-perfect Adele sound mixed with an even sexy voice at times. Overall Christina got a good reception and was not voted off.  Next up from Adam’s team was Mathai, arguably one of the worst singers of this (and every) episode of The Voice. Singing “I’m like a Bird,” there were even awful literal translations of the song forced into the performance with people actually flying around over the stage…like a bird. With ridiculous clothing and a Captain America comparison by Blake, this was a rather weak performance. Read more »

June is jumping for joy when she finds out that she has an opportunity to take an unpaid internship job where she will be required to be on call every minute for her overly dominating boss, Joyce (character played by guest star Nora Dunn). While she will still have her job at the coffee shop, she will have to figure out a way to juggle the new job as well.

June is very responsible so she believes she will be able to handle it all.  She is also hoping her character traits will eventually start to rub off on her irresponsible friend Chloe, who is constantly starting things and then dropping them once she gets into the middle of something and becomes bored with it.

There is one special time each year, and only one, when Chloe actually shows some responsibility for three days.  This comes around yearly when the UN holds its General Assembly and Chloe acts as a nightlife guide for all the foreign dignitaries that attend the important event. She knows just a little bit of every language to be able to drink and dance with the visiting men from all around the world. Read more »

Considering all that she has been through with her family, along with trying to maintain her career, Jennifer Hudson seems to be in good spirits before the family murder trial begins. The one thing that keeps her going is the fact that she has her surviving sister, Julia, to lean on throughout the ordeal.

A family friend, Harvey Star Washington, a fashion producer claims to have known Julia since right after her and Jennifer’s mother, brother, and Julia’s son were reportedly gunned down in 2008 by Julia’s estranged and obviously disturbed husband.

Speaking for the siblings, Washington has offered updates on how the family is getting along just before the high profile case is subjected to the publically advertised courtroom drama and sent before a jury.

Much to everybody’s surprise, prosecutors wasted no time in pulling out what they call their big gun on the very first day of the trial, when they call Jennifer Hudson to the stand.  Jennifer was the first witness for the prosecution in her family’s trial.  While the Oscar winning star was on the list of potential people to testify for the prosecution, it had never been revealed or decided, as far as anyone knew, whether she would actually be called up as a witness or not in the trial against William Balfour, the man that is accused of killing her family members in cold blood and her sister Julia’s estranged husband.
